Amitiza Side Effects
Some of the most common side effects of Amitiza include nausea, diarrhea, and headaches. In most cases, people have no problems and side effects are generally easy to treat. However, serious Amitiza side effects are possible, which require immediate medical attention. Notify your healthcare provider if you develop severe or persistent diarrhea or signs of an allergic reaction, such as a rash, wheezing, or difficulty swallowing.

In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If Amitiza side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are easily treated by you or your healthcare provider.
(This article covers many, but not all, of the possible side effects with Amitiza. Your healthcare provider can discuss a more complete list of Amitiza side effects with you.)
