Bentyl Interactions

If you take any antacids, glaucoma medications, or tricyclic antidepressants while you are using Bentyl, interactions could occur. These drug interactions can reduce the effectiveness of the medications or increase your risk of developing side effects, such as dry mouth, constipation, or difficulty passing urine. To help prevent interactions with Bentyl, tell your healthcare provider about all other medicines you are taking.

 

An Overview of Bentyl Interactions

Bentyl® (dicyclomine hydrochloride) can potentially interact with several other medications. Some of these medicines that may lead to interactions with Bentyl include:
 
  • Acetylcholinesterase inhibitor medications, such as:
 
 
  • Antacids (Tums®, Rolaids®, and many others)
